WEEK NINE: March 12, 2001 - March 18, 2001

Man, no time to keep things up to date, working like a madman! But alas, here I am, on the eve of the day before my departure, tying loose ends, crossing all the 't's and dotting all the 'i's. Ok, so what has been going on...

On Monday we had a failed astronomy class. The topic was supposed to be on IDL but the projector didn't function properly and we had to cancel. Too bad, I was having problems displaying my image with IDL and I was going to ask Don to tackle the problem for me. But oh well! We continued on Wednesday with a talk by Bob Schommer. He spoke on Cosmology and the search for High Redshift Supernova. It was interesting. Very nice fonts on his Powerpoint presentation. I liked it.

The rest of the week was work, some work, and a little more work. I had to prepare for my observing run on the 1.5 meter. I also had the student presentations looming over my head. On Sunday we had Farewell Pizza, you know the kind that leaves the empty feeling in your stomach when you eat it so you continue to shovel it in. Anyway, Gabe's family were in town and we all played Cranium. It is a fun game, you get to sculpt and draw and answer retarded questions. The drawing and sculpting are best. I drew a belly dancer and sculpted a violin. We lost. Ha ha ha! After that, well, there was no after that, onward to the final week! AH!!!!
