The European Southern Observatory has recently merged the operations of its three sites, La Silla, Paranal/VLT, and ChajnantorAPEX, into on observatory, the La Silla Paranal Observatory. In my talk I will present the recent developments and latest achievements at the different sites and discuss the advantages and challenges of this new operations model.
