A general overview on the purpose and status of the AURA Unified Release, an installation program designed to installed Python and IRAF software automatically. The talk will touch on what the Unified Release is, what it contains, end user experience is expected to look like, some minor technical details about how the release will work, information on what packages will be included in the release and how the release is likely going to be implemented. It will serve both as an explanation for what the Unified Release is, what it can do as well as show what I have done for Gemini on my workterm here. The presentation will close with time for questions and requests from the audience. |
