"Merging between Galaxies and between Galaxy clusters"

I present the results of search for ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs) and rotating galaxy clusters using a spectroscopic sample of galaxies in wide-field galaxy redshift surveys. First, we have identified a large number of ULIRGs at intermediate redshift by cross-correlating the IRAS Faint Source Catalog with the galaxy catalogs in SDSS, 2dFGRS, and 6dFGS. Secondly, we have found the rotating galaxy clusters in SDSS and 2dFGRS, which show a single number-density peak around the cluster center with a spatial segregation of high- and low-velocity galaxies.
