"High-resolution Spectroscopy in the mid-IR: TEXES and EXES"

My research is heavily tilted toward the development and use of two mid-infrared spectrographs, TEXES and EXES.  Both instruments are able to provide a resolving power of R=100,000 at 10 microns.  In my talk, I will explain the motivation for pushing to such a high spectral resolution, describe the instruments as they currently exist and with an eye to future upgrades, and then close with a few science examples to illustrate how our capabilities can be applied to a variety of astrophysical problems.
