"Dark Matter and Tidal Disruption in the Local Group"

New large scale surveys of Galactic tracers, photometric and dynamical, have allowed us to explore the distribution of mass in the Milky Way and its satellites. Dynamical tracers ranging from star clusters to dwarf spheroidal satellite galaxies, are used in order to study the amount and distribution of Galactic mass. We compare recent findings and compare to the predictions of current cold dark matter (CDM) models.
