"Deep Surveys of the Radio
Universe" |
|
Our understanding of galaxy evolution across cosmic time depends on deep surveys of the sky in wavelengths across the electromagnetic spectrum. Radio frequency surveys selectively detect active and starburst galaxies, which are thought of as sites of intense evolution in the galaxy as well as central super-massive black-hole. I review our understanding of the cosmological evolution in active galaxies from deep surveys of the radio sky and introduce the ATLBS survey: a survey that is optimized for the detection of low surface brightness radio emission associated with distant active galaxies. |
