The Local Group Survey

The Local Group dwarf galaxy NGC 6822, as observed with the CTIO Blanco 4-m telescope and Mosaic II camera as part of the NOAO-sponsored Local Group Survey (PI: Philip Massey, Lowell Observatory).  The image is a true-color combination of images in three of the filters used by the survey.  The full complement of survey data include images in broad-band/ UBVRI/, as well as through filters centered on the H-alpha, [SII], and [OIII] emission lines.  All of the data, description of the analysis, and UBVRI photometry (soon) are available through the Local Group Survey website,  http://www.lowell.edu/users/massey/lgsurvey.html.  A paper describing the UBVRI photometry of the Local Group dwarf galaxies IC 10, NGC 6822, Phoenix, Sextans A, Sextans B, and WLM is scheduled to appear in the Astronomical Journal.
