The GNATS problem reporting system

The Blanco 4-m telescope team are now running a problem tracking database system whereby problems identified with the telescope and its subsystems are recorded in a database via a web form. The system tracks and archives the problem solving process for future reference.

Visiting observers can contribute to the system as they see fit, although they do not have permissions to do more than create problem reports and view previous reports.

To enter the system, click the link below and login as "visitor" and a random word as the password. If you create a problem report, please identify yourself, your home institute and provide an email address so that you will be informed of the progress of work on the problem.

CTIO staff users of the gnats system should log in with their email name and password as supplied by the Blanco4m GNATS administrator.

• The GNATS system is not accessible from outside CTIO.
• The current list of GNATS problem categories, including the staff assignments for "responsible" and "interested", are available here.
