NOTE: Compressed capacities quoted above are for RAW images. Compression of reduced images will be MUCH less; capacities for writing reduced images using compression will be only ~5-10% more than uncompressed capacities.

The DDS3 drive can also write DDS format (90m) tapes, but since their capacity is relatively small (~1.8Gb uncompressed, ~2.4Gb compressed), their use with Mosaic datasets is limited and not recommended.
