As written by Kevin R.

Relatively smooth first night back on sky. Spent almost entire evening on SN fields.

Some TCS issues (4map) prevented bias/flats at the start of the night. David James will do them in the a.m.

NEO team agreed to perform end of night standards for us. Tomorrow, the plan is (likely) to take standard star fields before the end of our time block.

Tonights observing

1) Standard fields - a small of time lost due to very large (1.5 sensors) initial offset and some user error

2) West-commish until it set (3 exposures)

3) X1/X2 - E1/E2 - S1/S2 - C3 g only

4) Took 2 images with science array +1.5 mm out of focus just before turn over to NEO team. Note that it would be nice to be able to tell quick reduce to ignore these as it took trends way off scale. (Exclude QR). Failed to exclude guider and received alarms while out of focus.

On time turnover of DECam to NEO team.

DJJ to continue:

NOAO community time went well. QR system showed that wind-shake (in 10 m.p.h. winds out of the West) pointed North really affects ellipticity badly.

End of night standards taken E4-A and MaxViz (see elog #41068 and #41069), as well as post-night calibration frames (see elog #41070) -- all these standard star and calibration frame data observed with propID: 2012B-0003.
