Security Services - La Serena Recinto

Security services within the La Serena Compound are provided by Grupo Eulen Chile S.A.  Security services are contracted for a period of three years, and Eulen started their current three year contract on October 1, 2011. The Security Services contract is competitively bid by AURA Procurement.

To two fixed guard posts may be contacted by telephone at any time of day or night. The Avenida Juan Cisternas Gate telephone annex is 205 282, and the Alberto Arenas Gate telephone annex is 205 351. Both numbers may be dialed from outside lines or from a cellular telephone.

It is advisable to inform the guards in advance of receiving visitors. Informing the guards of expected visitors will ensure that they are not detained at the gate.

The guards may be informed of any emergency situation at any time. The guards are informed of the proper people to contact for facility emergencies, and can help coordinate emergency services such as ambulance, fire department, or Carabineros. These services may be dialed directly from within the Recinto by dialing 9 for an outside line, and then 131 for ambulance, 132 for the fire department, and 133 for the Carabineros de Chile.
