Loral CCD QE Info

After seeing the email/homepage from RGO about the qe of their Loral CCD,
we decided to share the qe we derived for our Loral Lick3 CCD. Our device
was thinned and AR coated by Mike Lesser as well, and has an AR coating
of 600 angstroms of Hafnium Oxide, which optimizes for throughtput in the
visible.
We didn't experience the problems RGO mentioned, as the plot shows quantum
efficiencies of greater than 95% from 500 to 650 nm and over 70% from
375 to 800 nm. The qe test was done in imaging mode, after the chip had
been UV flooded with a cadmium lamp in an oxygen gas environment at
atmospheric pressure.
