MTF of UV Flooded CCDs

Dear Colleagues,

Thanks a lot for your prompt replys. We are happy to know that our
suspicions are confirmed, which means that we are not having an optical
degradation of our nice "CES" instrument. We should confirm this fact
today as we have re-installed a 2kx2k front illuminated CCD (Uv coated).

On other hand, this has helped to understand a bit better the behavior of
the UV flooded CCDS and also, to start doing new tests about the actual
MTF of these CCDs. May be it is not the best type of chip for high
resolution work, albeit their excellent RQE. Alternatively, a higher image
scale could help overcome this problem at the expense of wavelength
coverage. We will carefully consider now all the alternatives offered.
Thanks again and best regards!

Peter
