Hiya all, particularly Austin, Rich and Tim,
Back after the Xmas break.... taking time to wind up again..
Got used to the Christmas fare and lazing around too much!!!
Thanx for the responses to the Tek CTE discussion on my Web Page-
will be looking at it in the next week or two and attempting to decide if its
the electronics or chips...
Austin, you appear to have more problems with the Teks than just
'mere' CTE problems. We operate our devices at -100, we found -90 too
warm. We do not see anything like the problems you
mention in terms of bias changes, dark current gradients etc. The dark current
is a few electrons per hour (10ish I think and much worse than our EEV devices
which is about 1-2 per hour.
NO evidence of dark current being non-linear with time. We measure our
CTE in the manner described on the Web Page, though we use the appearance of
CREs as a quick check. We get poor H CTE irrespective of the occurance of
strong or weak CREs....
Happy New Year to One and all...
Paddy
