Hi Sataoshi,
I checked the FET sensitivity yesterday in fact... The gain I have at
5+5us sampling is 0.77e/adu. This translates back through our electronics to
exactly what EEV predicted - 6uV/e. I also tried the same test with OG2 high -
resulting in a larger node, the change wasnt what I expected - got 3uV/e
rather than the 2uV/e predicted by EEV. The noise and gains also only changed
by a factor of 2 rather than 3... I will look at this more to make sure Im
operating the device correctly though.. will keep you informed.
The Qe uniformity is a bit tricky at present as I have the cip in a
dewar the window of which isnt big enough to allow full illumination of the
chip. Hence my comment yesterday about us not having a dewar to get the chip
on the telescope. The chip itself looks smooth, dark and flat i.e. you
cant see distortions in reflected strip-light illumination. The spectral
response illumination spot also looked uniform but I didnt look in detail.
I will illuminate what Silicon is available and will try and get a 350, 650
and 900nm flat field image on the Web a.s.a.p.

Cheers
Paddy
