Hi ccd folks,
I have just put the latest data we have on the 4kx2k 13u5 pixel EEV
CCD on the Web. Its at -
http://www.ast.cam.ac.uk/~apo/docs/eev-3.html
There's a plot of the QE and today's freshly cooked noise figures. Paul and I
consider this is a good enough device, other operating performance
characteristics meeting our spec., to be put on the telescope asap. 2-3 months
unfortunately due to a lack of a cryostat with the requisite bits for the
package profile....
It beats the Teks everwhere in terms of QE, PLUS at 5+5us sampling has an rms
noise of 3e - I'm working on that though!
Cheers from humid Britain
Paddy

Camille
Kryten: It's a small, off-duty Czechoslovakian traffic warden!
Kryten: Camille looks like your sister-in-law? What happened?
Was she involved in some kind of horrific car accident?
Rimmer: Who? Janine? No, of course not -- she was a model!
Kryten: And she looked like Camille?
Rimmer: Absolutely! The resemblance is uncanny!
Kryten: What did she model? Spark plugs?
----------------------------------
Kryten: It's the old, old story:
Droid meets Droid,
Droid becomes Chameleon,
Droid loses Chameleon,
Chameleon turns into Blob,
Droid gets Blob back again,
Blob meets Blob,
Blob goes off with Blob,
and Droid loses Blob, Chameleon, and Droid.
How many times have we seen that story?
