We have seen something similar on our thinned Tek chips after prolonged operation in cold vacuum. I thought it might be water vapor or other contaminants depositing on the surface. Pumping for several days at room temperature while heating the molecular sieve greatly reduced the effect. Bruce Peterson MSSSO
