The new EEV CCD42 series may be of interest. We (at RGO) have just started
measuring samples of 2k*512 & 2k*4k chips of this type. A 2k*2k one is also
possible. They are designed for 3-edge butting, and so only have 2 outputs;
however they operate faster than most other slow-scan chips. They have only just
started making these devices. You should contact Raplhh Holtom at EEV for more
information (rh at eev.com).
Best Wishes for 1996,
Paul
