OK, the votes were heavily in favour of expanding the scope of CCD-world 
to include SWIR detectors.  Breakdown was:

Expand the scope: 27 votes
Start SWIR-world:  5 votes
No change:         1 vote
Don't care:        3 votes

I'll edit the web pages to reflect this as soon as time and bandwidth 
allow.  In the meantime, please let our friends of the big fat fuzzy
photons know of the change.
