The following was posted to CCD-world:

Sorry to use this forum, but many of you might wish to attend/contribute
to the SPIE/ESO Symposium on Optical and IR Telescope Instrumentation and
Detectors (Munich, 27--31 March 2000), and you are hereby invited to do
so. I think it's an important conference for CCD development people
interested in astronomical instrumentation.

The "Call for Papers and Announcement" hasn't yet appeared on the SPIE Web
pages, but the deadline is near (30 August 1999 for abstracts), so I've
posted a link to my version of the front page of the "Call" on
http://pdg.lbl.gov/~deg/ccd.html

I, the chairs, or others on the program committee can be contacted for
more details. I send this via CCD-world with reluctance, and apologize
for any appearance of spam.

Best regards,
Don Groom
