Dear Byeong

We used.

Petroleum Spirit - Boiling Range 40-80C
AJAX Chemicals - Univar analytical reagent (very pure).
Alo buy a plastic squeeze wash bottle with a fine jet.
We purchase from a local cmemical lab supplier.

Pet Spirit is very volatile and will dry quickly, in fact the leading edge
of the film will dry as it flows down the vertical surface of the chip. It
is also VERY flammible, stay well away from naked flames and sparks, work
under a fume hood. Aim the fine jet of spirit at the chip surface and not
at the bond wires, the film will spread out and clean the bond wires
without being directly hit by the jet. When the vertical chip surface is
dry turn the package face down and the pet spirit caught in the corner of
the chip package should drop out. Washing the chip with pet spirit will
cool it so you will need to let it warm up for five minutes between each
wash cycle or you will cool the chip below the local dew point and warter
will condense on the chip surface. We have found that water will
permamantly damage the thin coating on SITe thinned CCD.

PRACTICE FIRST on a setup grade or dead CCD.

I have tried to clean chips in the past with Isopropol alcohol and a stream
of dry nitrogen I managed to break the bond wires while blowing the drops
of alcohol around.

Regards
