Hi everyone,
As many of you know EEV make many large scientific imagers, such as the CCD42-80 & CCD42-90. These are full-frame, low noise, high QE devices.
We are proposing to make the smaller CCD42-20 device, in frame-transfer format.
This would have the same electro-optical properties as the larger chips in the series, but would be very suitable for high-speed photometry/ spectroscopy.
~~ 10 Hz frame rate is envisaged.
Format will be 2k*512 image area, with same size store area. 13.5 um pixels.
Look at the web pages for info on CCD42-80 (data sheet can be downloaded from
http://www.ccd.eev.com/datalist.htm)
The plan is to fit these chips into a custom Peltier sealed package, and make them AIMO (MPP).
Slightly further downstream, we would also be able to do 42-40FT devices in the same style (2k*1k image area + same store).
If anyone is interested please get in touch.
Hope to see some of you at the forthcoming ESO workshop.
Cheers,
Paul
