Once in the MAC desktop, click on the disk icon. After that go to Applications -> Utilities, and select the Printer Setup Utility.
Once the program window pops up, press the Add button to get the Printer Browser window, in which you'll have to type some values according to the printer you chose to use. Once more, the URL mentioned at the beginning of the Printer HowTo page will provide the needed info.
• On the Protocol field, select the Line Protocol Daemon (LPD) option.
• On the Address field, type the name address or IP address of the selected printer. At this point the system should be able to pick up the printer and display its model in the Print using field.
• Leave the Queue field empty.
• Fill the Name and Location fields using the values defined for the chosen printer, using our printer list [1]as reference.
• Click on the Add button to add the recently configured printer to the system.
At this point you should be able to send printing jobs to it from any application you want.
