This is a small section of a Deep Lens Survey image. The complete survey will cover seven 2°D2° fields in 4 colors to surface brightnesses of 29 magnitudes per sq. arcsecond. By measuring coherent distortions in the shapes of galaxies, the team will map out dark, large-scale structures in these fields.
