The NGSS campaigns are now complete!

We have completed 4 successuful campaigns that have produced 42 supernova and strong SN candidates. See campaigns to the right for individual run data.

SN 1999aw: a peculiar SN 1999aa-like event

SN 1999aw is a peculiar SNe Ia both spectroscopically and photometrically.

Faint anonymous host imaged with Magellan

Recent images taken with the Baade 6.5-m (and MagIC) have revealed the compact low-luminosity galaxy that hosted SN 1999aw

Trans-Neptunian Object 1999 TC36 is a binary!

The KBO 1999 TC36 was independently discovered during the second NGSS campaign. Recent HST + STIS observations have shown that this object has a faint companion. See links for more information.

We have concluded our successful search for low redshift supernovae using the Kitt Peak 0.9-m telescope, in Tucson, AZ. Our four campaigns (see Campaigns) have resulted in the discovery 42 SN and SN candidates of various types and ages. We have photometrically followed the majority of SN for very well sampled optical (and in some cases, infrared) light curves.
