The following photo was taken in January 1981 at the "despedida" (going-away party) for Dr. Victor Blanco as Director of CTIO. Dr. Pat Osmer became the new CTIO Director. Ricardo Schmidt provided the photo by Marcelo Bass and the finding chart of the people. Is that really German Schumacher in his "ready for disco" outfit?  Manuel Hernandez looks like he just came from an Illapu concert.
